Meal delivery kits are everywhere these days and new ones are popping up all the time. For the most part, the process is always the same: You logon to the company’s website and choose which meals you would like to eat for the upcoming week. Then, like magic, your meal delivery kit arrives at your doorstep full of all the ingredients to make the dish you chose, along with a recipe card. I put some of them to the test and here’s a list of the best!
Chef’s Plate
This was the first company I tried and it remains one of my faves. They offer a great selection of meals each week at a price you can’t beat. You can opt to have 2, 3, or 4 meals delivered weekly and can choose from meal categories such as Meat and Potatoes, Family Friendly and Vegetarian. Chef’s plate sends generous portion sizes and the quality of meat is excellent. My favorite thing though, is the amount of fresh herbs and seasonings they include in the meal kit. The finished product ends up being so good, you won’t believe you made it yourself! Favorite because: Lots of seasonings and delicious sauces.
Goodfood
The meal delivery kit you will receive from Goodfood is sure to please everyone. They have an extensive menu to choose from each week in categories like Classic, Low Carb, Easy Prep, Vegetarian and Family-Style. Their portion sizes are huge with ample fresh veggies and generous cuts of meat. Goodfood has such a varied menu that it can be difficult to decide what to get, however it’s fun to choose new foods that you wouldn’t normally have tried on your own. If you’re feeding a family with picky eaters, they will most certainly find something on the Goodfood menu. Favorite because: Lots to choose from, low carb and easy prep options.
HelloFresh
HelloFresh is the parent company of Chef’s Plate. These meal delivery kits are offered in all the usual categories and in the United States they have a Pescatarian and Calorie Smart menu as well.
